BAND BIO
Inspired by the British Invasion movement in popular rock music, The Lowdown churns out an authentic 1960s hard rockin' mix of cover and original songs. Two guitars, bass and drums lay the groundwork for their strong and soulful vocals to fly over.
Though primarily inspired by the 60s, The Lowdown will "put their own eyebrows" on songs that simply inspire them, no matter the era. "Brand New Cadillac" is a great example of their approach to choosing cover songs. It is a song from 1959 that resurfaced on The Clash's 1979 "London Calling". The Lowdown is about taking a great song and delivering the original message with a new sound.
